World Café
I bumped into World Café on a cold January afternoon in 2008. During my first 'Home Days' (another great tool from CDRA) at Wageningen UR - CDI, we used it to explore some of the pressing issues in the organisation. I was amazed by the openness of the colleagues, the inspiration used to build on people's ideas, the ease with which we filled the 'table cloths' around which the conversations evolved.
A World Café is a great way to create spaces for meaningful conversations with purpose and direction. It combines the intimacy of café-style table conversations with ideas from Open Space, Carousel and Gallery Walks.
